Orienteering 24:56 [3] 4.0 km (6:14 / km)

Pretty good race. Apart from one 20s mistake on control 9 due to a lapse in focus, I didn’t really make any mistakes. I’m looking forward to the rest of the WIOL series.

Orienteering 30:00 [3] 3.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

O training after the race where only the control circles had the full map. The rest was all white w/ contours. The goal was to use general direction and distance and simplify the route. I never had any issues and it all felt pretty solid.

Orienteering 1:23:19 [3] 10.8 km (7:43 / km)

This was a pretty upsetting race. For an 83 minute race to come down to ten seconds at the end was disappointing, but in the end props to Victor for a great day. Although I was hoping for the M-20 sweep, he ultimately got me due to a bad route choice on the final leg (14-15) which cost me over a minute and a half. While I didn't get the result I wanted I was still overall quite happy with the race and felt as though I was moving at a consistent and smooth pace with only minor mistakes the whole time. Congrats to Victor and the other juniors for a great weekend.
