Sunday Feb 3, 2002 #

Ski orienteering 2:19:20 [3] 15.9 km (8:46 / km)

BAOC ski-O meet at Royal Gorge. Blue. Perfect conditions, just above freezing, little ice. Fell about a dozen times, ran 3 uphills and one downhill. Classic would have been about 20 minutes faster for me, but skating is sooo much more fun.

Saturday Feb 2, 2002 #

Truckee (E end of Donner Lake) to Soda Springs via Old Hwy. 40, Donner Pass. Mostly uphill. Saw snowboarders doing absolutely crazy things in the steep rocks.

X-country skiing 1:46:00 [3] 18.1 km (5:51 / km)

Royal Gorge, skating. First time in 10 years. People like Boris are probably laughing the internals out at the "3".

Easy running 21:53 [1] 3.1 km (7:04 / km)

Back from Royal Gorge to Soda Springs, the lodge I was staying at.

Friday Feb 1, 2002 #

Medium pace running 16:49 [3] 3.6 km (4:40 / km)

To light rail, on to Amtrak.

Truckee Amtrak bus stop to hotel. Well past midnight.

Wednesday Jan 30, 2002 #

Easy running 22:58 [2] 4.6 km (5:00 / km)

Missed the #57 bus, so had to run to Wilcox school and skipped the stretch (have to be out by sunset).

4 x 1600 with 1 lap rest. Mud (but track shoes). 5'47 5'49 5'54 5'58.

2 sets abs, 2 sets back, 4 repeats of 12 in each set.
