Orienteering 38:00 [1] 2.8 km (13:34 / km) +120m 11:11 / km

Ran (time is approximate) around Solvalla as a part of a group project. I was in a group with Iain Rochford and Tero <forgot the last name>. The project involved planning a 100-min winning-time mixed relay, on the (2002) map of Solvalla. One of the goals was to provide 8 camera sites for 5 cameras to cover the event; we were free to choose the start/finish location and plan the courses.

Easy running 1:02:50 [2] 9.6 km (6:33 / km) +270m 5:44 / km
ahr:153 max:176

Ran around Solvalla with a 1999 map made by a Swede. It showed. Fell once.

Note

The clinic started in the evening, led by Øyvind Holt. There were 10 prospective Advisors attending, from Finland (3), Sweden, Norway, Japan, Ireland, Scotland, Australia, and myself.

Note

Went SJCDTWAMSHEL.

Wednesday Dec 11, 2002 #

Easy running 50:02 [2] 10.2 km (4:54 / km) +52m 4:47 / km

Baylands ×2 (25'05 24'57). Felt hungry but not like I wanted to eat. I.e. there seems to be a lack of some nutrient in the organism.

Note

Leaving for HEL tomorrow to attend the IOF Event Advisor clinic. If you thought Vladimir was arrogant, self-righteous, and snobby, now Vladimir is about to get a license to be arrogant, self-righteous, and snobby.

Tuesday Dec 10, 2002 #

Easy running 1:45 [2] 0.3 km (5:50 / km)

Bus.

Note

I did not go running today. That's what the off week is for; I only go running when I feel like it. The 3/1 schedule does not quite fit in time with the Jukola (I'm a couple weeks late coming into it), so a week is going to get axed here and there. Next 3 weeks I'll really try to hit the 120 km mark.

Sunday Dec 8, 2002 #

Note

I feel great. Not quite 120 km these 3 past weeks, but not bad, either.
