Easy running 3:32:54 [2] 20.3 mi (10:29 / mi) +1130m 8:56 / mi
ahr:152 max:178

Innebandy, shwinnebandy.
It was a Pierre run in yet another freezing cloud (Wunderlich, Corte de Madera, Bay Ridge Trail, back into Wunderlich). I had a USGS and lost contact once, but for about 2.5 miles. The pace was glacial in the beginning, yet picked up around the 2.5 hour mark; some people put a nice effort into one hill (see max HR). The trespass was pretty lame this time.

This week does not appear salvageable. Oh well. Will have to cut out a rest week sometime in March, I guess.

Note

We submitted our proposal in the morning, deciding on a WMMW order and equal length for the M and W courses. We had the start (finish) and a spectator control at the sports complex, resulting in two loops for each leg, about 4.2 km per leg. It was quite surprising to see that the other two groups had almost exactly the same ideas as us, and the second, most experienced group had picked just about the same courses and control sites, but with nice touches that made their courses look much more professional. The main difference between us and this group was in the planned TV coverage. Whereas we focused on providing camera sites mostly in the woods, with a chance to have nearly-continuous coverage of the last leg, the other group only had two places that they'd cover: the finish/exchange area and a downhill ski slope. They'd put teams of cameramen in both places to catch the different angles of the competition. They also suggested hiring a four-wheel cycle to drive a cameraman on the forest roads and peek into the open woods.

Note

I overslept in the morning. The right knee was slightly swollen from Friday's fall—these are my excuses.
