Note

My neck hurt all day. What a ridiculous excuse; haven't trained well for three weeks. I feel like getting seriously overweight. But it feels good.

Friday Nov 7, 2003 #

Running with weights 57:03 [2] 11.0 km (5:11 / km) +46m 5:05 / km

Another run to the surgeon's office.

Note

The tumors were indeed benign, and rare. I understood that they tend to recur. Yuck.

Tuesday Nov 4, 2003 #

Easy running 43:47 [3] 10.2 km (4:18 / km) +52m 4:11 / km
max:167

2× Baylands: 21:53 21:54. The effort was a high-2 but the speed, definitely a 3—don't you wish every day would be like that? Felt better than at any time in a long while. Very interesting, especially contrasted with how I felt on Saturday and on Monday.

Note

It seems like flying may be the problem. I used to take it very well but it seems to have started to cause various issues lately; throat/esophagus burns and nausea among them. Maybe it's the 0.5–0.8 mrem/hr that you get at 33000 ft (average is 1.0 mrem/day at sea level).
