Rogaining 4:39:01 [1] 17.4 km (16:02 / km) +500m 14:01 / km

Bushwhacked through Telemark with bmay, vetting the WRE courses. Had no compass and got lost once; Brian was getting a bit concerned there. The two of us also got lost one more time towards the end.

The courses are great and the new map is looking much better than the old one, but isn't without ideosynchrasies. I would not put a stamp of unconditional approval on it, to put it one way. Matching terrain to the map requires constant, intense critical thinking.

Felt too tired today for the T run...

Easy running 11:23 [2] 2.0 km (5:42 / km)

Warmed up at De Anza for the interval session. Nobody else there...

Long intervals (VO2max) 42:44 [4] 8.4 km (5:05 / km)
ahr:155 max:181

... well, Tapio did show up for a couple of intervals. He did one 1000 at about 4:30...

I did 6×1000 with 408 m rest. 3:37 3:37 3:38 3:38 3:41 3:42. Felt not too hard, and I maintained an almost-uniform pace. I think an estimate of 54 for my current Vdot is correct.
