Running with weights 32:32 [1] 5.0 km (6:30 / km) +8m 6:27 / km

Slogged, at 2 am, from last Caltrain to work. A very early-scheduled workday to be able to catch a plane in the afternoon, to Texas: for the A meet and a Modest Mouse show.

Easy running 1:27:13 [2] 18.18 km (4:48 / km) +70m 4:42 / km

Finally, Jim Waite found a chance to run, so we did the shortened Baylands loop (no muddy part). We moved.

Easy running 2:40:49 [2] 24.5 km (6:34 / km) +1200m 5:16 / km

Ran the Mt. Tam thing (1, 2, 3, 4) with Graeme Ackland. We moved, getting up there about 23 minutes ahead of my usual pace.

I finally sat down to measure the Mt. Tam run on 16 December 2005... quite a bit shorter than originally assumed... the last trail segment though, I just penciled in, not much visibility by the satellite through the trees.

Unfortunately the day was totally overcast, with sprinkles of rain, weather undoubtedly familiar to the Scottish visitor. So, no views of the ocean from the Tam firehouse.

Easy running 39:39 [2] 8.0 km (4:57 / km) +15m 4:55 / km

Down the mountain, to Mill Valley (5, 6).

In the village, waiting for the bus, we sat down for some tea. It was wonderful.
