Knee was feeling sore so missed out the sprint, good decision. This was another solid race. Started off a bit slow and cautious with the knee but soon got into it. Physically a great result, managed to push the whole way which is a good sign. Highlight was probably catching the OK Ravinen train and then taking a different route immediately afterwards, backed myself to choose the better route. Generally the circles were good, had a nice picture going in which made a difference. One small slip up as I got distracted by catching the train and just stopped navving and started following them as they made a mistake, but relocated quickly. Once again, the pre and post race was solid, and actually did a bit of a warm up and got food in quickly after. Hopefully a sign of good things to come :)

Run 30:00 [2] 5.0 km (6:00 / km)

Various WUD’s and an attempt at a shake in the morning, just seeing how it works. Couldn’t really feel any particular benefits but it certainly wasn’t bad, think I need to do a bit more investigating on less fresh legs.

Middle Sim @ Coillie Naithas
I’m back :)
Pre race:
- Good nutrition, the banana an hour before seemed to work wonders and also stopping drinking an hour before left me hydrated but not needing the toilet
- Warm up wasn’t ideal, just went for a jog but didn’t want to risk making the knee sore. Thinking about a better routine.
- Managed not to forget anything :)

- Glad I haven’t forgotten how to do it. Felt like I was working hard but then again it is my first effort back. Really clean and smooth through most controls, one small mistake thrown off by a bit of dodgy map, but otherwise a solid run.
- Slightly clipped my knee towards the end, and knee flared up a bit but not too bad, will keep an eye on it.

Post Race:
- Got a warm down done and got changed thereafter, so no problems there.
- Only small improvement could have been getting food in a little bit quicker afterwards.

It’s good to be back in the forest :)

Nice little knee tester with Rebecca
Taking it easy and was mostly good, got a little sore towards the end but figured I can manage this. Onto the camp!
