Georgia Navigator Cup
Day 3 at Mistletoe S.P.
Brown course (M75)

Another sunny day, but colder. The morning temperature was in the upper 20s. With an early start I was cold. Fortunately the route to first control was mostly on trail so I didn't have to think too much as I warmed up. (Jogging around before the start didn't help). This was an easier course than yesterday's and I had very few problems.

Georgia Navigator Cup
Day 2 at Mistletoe S.P.
Brown course (M75)

Sunny and dry, but colder. With an early afternoon start, the temperature had warmed to the 40s, so very pleasant. I had a good run except for two controls.

#3 was in a ditch and not very visible. I wandered around a while (coming quite close at one time) before finding it.
#6 Went past it and took a while to get back.

Orienteering race 51:35 intensity: (26 @1) + (10:31 @2) + (26:12 @3) + (14:00 @4) + (26 @5) *** 3.77 km (13:40 / km)

Georgia Navigator Cup
Day 1 (middle distance) at Hard Labor Creek S.P.
Brown course (M75)

It rained all day, heavy at times Just light rain while I was on the course and it was fairly warm: around 60F. So the weather wasn't much of a factor. I had no big problems through #7. Going to #8 I drifted to the right. I might have been in trouble, but I came to a large rootstock with a control flag. Luckily, the only mapped rootstock in the area was at one end of a ditch and my control was at the other end. #9 should have been easy, but I wasn't thinking well, drifted right and got on the wrong side if a big ditch. I ended up at my #1 control. OK the rest of the way.

Baird Park
Mid 20s and lots of sun. Skiing would have been a better option today.
The trails were partly trodden with foot, show shoe and ski traffic. Difficult running. I didn't last long.
