Paddling 20:00 [2]

Took the kayak out on Lake Yealering for a bit of a spin

Swimming 50:00 [3] 2.3 km (21:44 / km)
weight:67.1kg

I actually had a proper swim session today and it felt great. I've got to find some motivation to get me back into serious swimming because I miss my squad training.

1000 m warm-up
400m @ 6:43 (1:40 pace)
300 m @ 5:00 (1:39 pace)
200 m @ 3:17 (1:38 pace)
100 m @ 1:34

4 x 50 m sprint
100 m cool down

All a bit slower than normal but I guess it's to be expected since I haven't done any squad training for over a month.

Road Biking 3:05:00 [3] 80.0 km (25.9 kph)

The sweetest of bike rides this morning. I LOVE riding in Perth. I rode for over 3 hours and didn't encounter one set of traffic lights. In what other city in the world can you do that?? Did a loop from Cannington: Ferndale, Riverton, Rossmoyne, Mt Henry, north to the city, west through Nedlands, Dalkeith, Claremont, got lost in the new developments around Mosman Park and North Freo, over to east Freo, Pt Walter, back along foreshore to Canning Bridge, espresso stop at Deep Water Point, then back to Cannington.

Got passed by a couple of speedy guys up past Como and managed to stay with them all the way to the Narrows. Lots of fun. Then I had the pleasure of passing a couple of tri geeks on a big hill in Applecross, whose multiple 1000 dollar race wheels weren't doing them much good on their Wed. morning cafe ride... and then I pulled them along until Deep Water point.

Definitely hot out there today. I think it's going to hit 40 later on.
