Tennis/Squash 1:00:00 [3]

Yes, again. I love this game. Best therapy ever. Not that I need therapy.....it was my last day of work and I am on holidays for an undetermined amount of time - that is therapy enough.

Let the fun times begin...

Bike Commute 25:00 [3]

Only one direction because I went for drinks after work to celebrate and had too many G&Ts to consider biking home.

Running (Rundles Revenge) 5:47:00 [4] 50.0 km (6:56 / km) +1700m 5:56 / km

Seems I DNF'd the Full Donkey category (100 km bike + 50 km run), I begged them to re-register me as an official 50 km runner. Once they realised I had NO advantage over the other 50 k-ers with fresh legs and rested bodies they agreed.

Turns out that riding a tough 50 km mountain bike race the day before is NOT a good preparation for a 50 km, hilly ultra. I suffered pretty much the entire race. I had to walk up almost every hill, even the totally runnable ones, and then I tried to make up ground by bombing the downhills until my body just hurt too much.

I did manage 3rd overall girl and was passing a few folk on the last couple of laps so I was pretty happy (and suprised). Definitely not my fastest time, though.

Interestingly, my fastest run lap was faster than my fastest bike lap. CRAZY!

A good weekend of training, which is exactly what I had hoped for. I am TRASHED.
