Honestly! I seem to be getting worse each METRO. I definitely chose a unique route today and ran 1 km further than the course required. I also did two unnecessary out-and-backs, had a bit of trouble finding the "water bubbler???", ran 100 m away from control #15 in the wrong direction, and decided to bush-bash around the northside of the tennis court near control #8 instead of just running along the straight road that was alongside. I was legitimately on my hands and knees in order to crawl under the thick thick bush. Dark green really meant dark green here.
The dumbest part of today was that my original plan would have been the ideal route. Somehow my brain got scrambled on the way to the first control and then things just went downhill from there. Oh well. At least my legs felt springy despite the long run this morning.
