XC Skiing 1:35:00 [3] 14.0 km (6:47 / km) +140m 6:28 / km

It puked snow for the last 48 hours so I decided to try XC skiing again. It was waaaay better today, especially after I discovered the dog loop trails which were long and all groomed. Most of what I had skied last weekend was now buried under a foot of fresh snow and they hadn't gotten back out over that with the groomer. It was bascially impassable, but I tried anyway.

XC Skiing 1:40:00 [3]

My first time skiing at Onion Lake in Terrace. It was pretty crusty after all the rain yesterday but I managed to enjoy myself on my waxless skis. Nobody else out there. It sprinkled rain on me a few times which was a new experience. Right at the end, I picked up a little too much speed on a black diamond downhill, hit a divet, and then hit the deck so hard. I supermanned, and because the snow was so hard and icy, I kept sliding for about 50m. My shirt rolled up and I got a bit of “carpet burn” on my stomach. Pity no one was there to see it. I laughed out loud at myself. It was good for the soul.
