Alright run with a few wobbles. Generally first section including running in waist deep heather was alright apart from 7 where I could see the control running down the stream from 6 and I think became over confident and lost focus from that when the control was then concealed by the heather and wasn't using compass really so ended up too right and lost about 80s there. Then on 8 before the map flip to the micro o I ended up getting confused going into the area and lost about 90s. Probably should have had more of a plan especially knowing before that the scale change could throw me. The micro o went really well and it was lots of fun. Then I overshot on 15 which was stupid as I knew I overshot when I did as I thought I was in the right place when crossing the marsh in the re entrant but didn't see the control as I was too high on the slope so lost about a min. I was a bit slow to 16 but the rest was ok apart from control 19 which broke me running over the heather. Overall a pretty good weekend and a good confidence boost

Birchen Edge dvo event - brown Pretty decent run, a few scrappy controls at the beggining like I overshot 3 and was a bit left on 5 and 9 as didn’t properly check exit direction but in all cases realised quickly and no real problems. Mistake on 17 where I was in the control circle and knew I was at the boulder for the control but lost time not spotting the control about 1 min. Took it a bit under race pace before tommororw and felt fairly comfortable. A very fun course

The Edge Campus Sprint - 39s on laura r Pretty good run, treated it a bit more like a proper race as havent done much sprint recently in terms of prep before, wasn't necisarily pushing 100% as felt fairly comfortable all the way round. Know the area quite well but still good practise, mistake on 7, as took route round road but ended up overshooting up the smaller road and had to go back all the way round probs lost 20secs. a few other small hesitations but generally good and lots of fun

8*200m forres road hill reps + 4x grass strides. These hills always very brutal and I think I went a bit hard at the beggining as was exhausted but pretty good. Didn’t have time for HH tonight
