Road/trail (Easy) 1:05:45 [2] 11.09 km (5:56 / km) +127m 5:36 / km
slept:7.5 shoes: Saucony Peregrine ST

Run back to workshop to collect van but didn't take the keys. Got a lift home. Legs much better today after stretching night before. Muscles didn't tighten up at any point, the only thing left is a bit of tightness behind my knees, particularly right hand side. Not painful, just stiff.

slept:7.3

Run home from work but post evening meal. Took it easy with the dog, ground was boggy and I had fish curry repeating on me a bit. Legs felt great until 40' when hamstrings tightened (like I had a golf ball in the centre). Last 25 mins was pretty unenjoyable, just trudged home. Hot bath and stretching when I got back. Didn't run any strides, legs still feeling fatigued

Rest Day

Big day at work after another bad nights sleep and although I had planned on a lunch run it didn't happen, got back with enough time to run but to be honest I felt shattered all day and didn't have much energy. Did some stretching in the evening instead.

Treadmill (Easy) 32:16 [2] 5.12 km (6:18 / km) +290m 4:55 / km
slept:7.0 shoes: Saucony Kinvara

Not a great night's sleep, pretty restless and woke up a few times. Run on the treadmill at lunch. Legs still jaded but starting to come around, didn't attempt any strides yet as it's fairly obvious they are still fatigued.

slept:7.25

Easy run along the river with the dog. First 15 mins felt fine before things loosened off and started to hurt. I might as well just make a list. Both hamstrings low down, right knee, left foot between metatarsals all pretty tender. Shin pain from yesterday totally gone. Might need a few days of gentle running to get back going again.

Note
slept:8.5

Set off for a run, it lasted a couple of minutes before shin pain pulled me up, 30 mins walk instead. Another day to let things settle down, legs obviously more beat up than I realised/felt on Saturday.

Rest day
Legs feeling fairly tender, went for an hour's walk with Alf in the rucksack. Had planned a run later but decided against it after walk was enough of a struggle
