Saturday Oct 17 #

6 PM

Run - Trail (Easy 60) 1:04:26 [2] 10.7 km (6:01 / km) +83m 5:48 / km
slept:8.75 shoes: Saucony Peregrine grey

Good sleep and another sleep for 45 mins at 10am. Did a good amount of stretching and activation before run and although I could feel knee slightly, hammy's feel very loose and relaxed. Maybe I'm being hyper sensitive to how it feels and so any tweak feels like the same issue. Again, feel like it's a step forward.

Friday Oct 16 #

6 AM

Run - Road (Easy) 25:00 [1] 2.5 km (10:00 / km) +10m 9:48 / km
slept:6.5 shoes: Nike Pegasus

Up early for a run around the village staying off trails. Legs unresponsive and could feel a bit of a reaction from run the night before. Everything felt terrible so decided against shuffling along for another 25 mins and 2km and spent 30 mins stretching hamstrings and glutes. Felt much better for the rest of the day.

6 PM

Run - Road (Easy) 45:27 [2] 9.08 km (5:00 / km) +61m 4:51 / km
slept:7.0 shoes: Nike Pegasus

Easy run in town. Did some stretching and leg swings after 5 mins of jogging, could only feel knee at top of swing. Didn't notice it for the whole run

Wednesday Oct 14 #

12 PM

Treadmill (Easy) 40:03 [3] 5.8 km (6:54 / km) +530m 4:44 / km
slept:8.0 shoes: Saucony Kinvara

Treadmill at lunch, probably worked harder than easy today, but pace was slow and had treadmill steeper than usual, up to 18%. Legs feel good and was able to tick steadily away on steeper gradient. Didn't notice knee as much today, little tight in the evening. Did some stretching. I think it's improving.

Tuesday Oct 13 #

6 AM

Run - Trail (Easy) 1:05:57 [2] 9.85 km (6:42 / km) +84m 6:25 / km
slept:6.2 shoes: Saucony Peregrine red

Run with dog along the river before work, nice and easy. Fields are fairly churned up at minute and visibility from fog was at 3m so fairly slow going. Did some pre hamstring stretching and activation. Knee was similar again, I think maybe the off road stuff makes tightness more prominent. I spotted your email when I'd already been out. Will stick to treadmill when possible and if not then the road run the other night didn't bother it.

Monday Oct 12 #

12 PM

Treadmill (Easy + strideouts) 41:01 [2] 7.01 km (5:51 / km) +295m 4:50 / km
slept:7.3 shoes: Saucony Kinvara

Treadmill run at lunch as slept through morning alarm. Enjoyed it today, set on a slight gradient as feel in a better rhythm running uphill than flat on machine. Did some strideouts and they felt good.

Walk 1:19:50 [3] 4.87 km (16:24 / km) +250m 13:03 / km
slept:9.5 shoes: Inov8 roclite 290

Superb sleep, didn't stir once. Went for a walk in northern fells with Rosie and had Alf on my back, pretty decent workout lugging him around now. Could be an option for training for any steeper races.
8 PM

Run - Road (Easy + strideouts) 29:35 [2] 5.57 km (5:19 / km) +20m 5:13 / km
shoes: Saucony Kinvara

Felt like I had a bit of energy in the evening so went out for half an hour round the village. Probably spurred on after seeing Georges BG! Legs were good, did 5 strides (miscounted 6) and no issues. Still tight behind right knee. Rest of my legs feel like they've turned a corner.
