Orienteering race 52:20 [4] 3.73 km (14:01 / km) +124m 12:01 / km

Regional O-meet organised by my club "ANCO"; helped with registration first and got thoroughly cold. Still went on my course, it was very rocky and rough when going across, so I opted for detours on trails which were also ploughed through by forest work so no running was possible (at least for me). Still pleased and happy I could go out and do orienteering again. It's been awhile.

Mountain Biking 2:13:28 [3] 19.91 km (6:42 / km) +531m 5:55 / km

Riding with VĂ©ronique on her home turf. 4 months ago when we first rode together, she broke her wrist and had been off riding ever since. This doesn't mean she didn't stay strong non-the-less; I could not follow her on the uphills, mainly at the beginning, I quickly ran out of steam and air. We were also at 1200 m which is quite a difference to my usual 400 m elevation at home. But after about 2 km I recovered and we did our loop (she knows every root and rock and everything). We did lots of single trails and she manages already really well except on the downhills, I was slightly more courageous. It was a fun loop in a new area for me with some amazing views into the gorge of the river Doubs. Of course, we also chatted almost all the way ;-)). So we weren't particularly fast or pushing it just enjoying our way out.
Up here it was a sunny day, but the Northwind blew and I got really chilled the last 4 km and barely could move my toes when we were back.

Mountain Biking 22:34 [3] 3.78 km (5:58 / km) +150m 4:59 / km

Riding to Sandra's place to divide up a huge plant. (It took over an hour to get it out of the pot and free the roots and separate the different stalks; I hope it will be happier now in 2 or more different pots.)
The biking up was kind of hard today, in fact on the steepest section, I didn't have it today and walked a few steps, I also had to raise the saddle a bit.

Running 1:06:20 [3] 7.79 km (8:31 / km) +153m 7:45 / km

Had only limited time, so Urs brought me up to the start of my loop from which I then ran back home. Felt quite ok after stretching some of my aches out in the morning from the bikeride yesterday.

Mountain Biking 2:26:24 [3] 25.51 km (5:44 / km) +679m 5:04 / km

MTbiking up to the top of Chaumon (from Cadolles) where I met Urs who had taken the cog train. From there, we followed some trails on the top up and down, then again on the road all the way across the Chaumon ridge to La Dame.
Because of the strong North wind, I got cold and put on two layers and the summer wind jacket before heading down. Steeply down to Enges and further down until the mt.bike trail cut in to the right along the slope back to the cog where our car was parked.
Further down, the sun was warming me again, the scenery up near Enges and the view were spectacular. Such a beautiful area in our backyard.
