Orienteering race 1:05:42 [4] 5.19 km (12:40 / km) +257m 10:09 / km

A race to forget. I didn't have my head with me today, so I made concentration mistakes. Leaving from #5 to 6 I started to mapread from #6 to 7. But things didn't match up but were somehow similar. So eventually I did a loop and when I came to a big intersection, I ordered myself to figure out where I was before going on somewhere. And then I noticed my mistake. Going back almost to 5 and starting again. I had another similar mistake in as I was going the correct way and ended up on an intersection and couldn't make sense of it bc I thought I was somewhere else (!). I finally asked a girl who wasn't that fast and had time and she told me. Of course! and I went to the flag easily from there. Towards the end my back locked up and I was just limping along. It was depressing. Made my way into the finish but it hurt and wasn't a pretty sight.

After hiking, did my 500 m in the pool again. The last time this year.

Indoor bike 20:00 [3] 7.0 km (2:51 / km)

In the morning, went to the fitness area and spent 20 min on the bike followed by some strength (leg presses and tri extensions).

Hiking 1:10:01 [2] 4.18 km (16:46 / km) +183m 13:45 / km

We went up to the Bödele again but not to ski tour but on the other side to hike when with Urs and run when I was by myself. It was a glorious day and we really enjoyed the sunshine. Though, it still had quite a bit of snow on the northern sides.

Thursday Mar 28 #

Another nice swim after being out and frustrated. So I pushed it a little more.

Ski touring 57:33 [2] 431.0 km (8 / km) +232m 8 / km

A short ski tour with Urs, same place as last year. Had trouble as one of my skins kept falling off. Then, I still have problems getting in and out of my bindings by myself. Should not be as the bindings are kind of new, but each time I'm so frustrated and don't feel like going again. But I love my boots and the skis, so I have to do something about those high tech bindings.

Wednesday Mar 27 #

Went swimming in that gorgeous pool with the soft water which was a delight. The same as yesterday just faster today.

Afterwards went on the infrared chair for my back.

Slow jogging down in the plains where it was somewhat warmer. Still strong northwind and very uneven ground as lots of horses have mulled over the ground when it must have been quite soft.

Tuesday Mar 26 #

I have had a dragging day and slept a lot. But later in the afternoon, I had enough and kicked myself down to the beautiful pool for swimming. And sure enough, the longer I was in the water, the better I felt.

Afterwards, infrared therapy for tight back muscles.
