Rowing 18:00 [2] 2.2 km (8:11 / km)

Started using our rower at home as it trains my knees to bend. Felt good.
Did 3x fish game and once 1000 m in 6:26.

Strength 'n Stretching 20:00 [3] 1.0 km (20:00 / km)

Started putting together specific exercises to stretch, but also to strengthen plus proprioception and balance. I will diversify each day.
Mini trampolin, then with a ball bouncing from hand to hand and onto the wall. Various strength exercises for upper back, stomach and squats.

Classic skiing down in ....... again together with Urs. Tracks were worse than 2 days ago, sometimes full of water and then re-frozen or glassy and slippery. Still enjoyed it, Urs less so.
I'm now feeling very comfortable on my skis again, such a joy.

Hiking 1:24:59 [2] 4.64 km (18:20 / km) +77m 16:55 / km
ahr:104 max:162

Hiking up the Val Rosegg from Pontresina while Sandra was running up and Marc with the kids, Matti and Lena did it on their skating skis.
I cannot remember being in that valley but it was beautiful again even late in the afternoon. Put on the spikes to come back down as the trail was slippery in parts.

No classic ski tracks to and from where we're staying. So it was quite tough for me to get down to the river and at the end back up as I'm quite apprehensive still of daring things.
But once I was on the beautiful, new Marathon tracks, I was "flying", so much fun! But it didn't last long and I was on the skating tracks, so I turned around. The same on the other side going over the lake twds Champhèr where there was no snow on the ice, thus no tracks and I turned again and went home.
But happily, my knees are quickly getting used to skiing gain and they feel good about it. Progress!!

Went back to do the same loop. The snow was not as good and tracks weren't retraced. But whatever, I need to re-learn to handle every condition. So I practice some balance exercises on the tracks, going in and out with one leg, trying to break with one leg (snow plow) but that felt limit at the moment. I had fun and just kept on going being fully concentrated so I wouldn't fall.
PS: I figured that falling would probably not be my problem but I couldn't get up. Have tried at home on a mat and it works but it was far from elegant and smooth more like a very old lady trying to get up. I will be improving......

My first try on classic skis and I felt right at home! Could finally move (slide) forwards without troubling my knees and was overjoyed. Of course, it was "just" a flat place, but so what, it was another new beginning.
Here in the Engadine, there's also very little snow and the tracks are often made with snow cannons on a white band of tracks (probably in preparation of the marathon in 10 days).
But for me it was just fine. I cannot adventure too far out as in many places it would be too steep still and overall, unlass they track or prepare it for the race, it is very icy and I'd better walk.
The weather is still kind of iffy, quite cold, but today with some sunshine and changing winds.
