Along the Doubs west of Besançon: rode with Urs through some royal woods relatively flat (hunting grounds for the kings) to the Royal Saline which is a UN Heritage site. It was built in the late 18th century for manufacturing salt. The buildings and gardens are situation in a huge circle and the exhibit is very fascinating and interesting. Was well worth stopping here.

PS: no bike O for me today. Urs picked me up and we went to Besançon for the night. My thumb hurt me quite a bit and searched for a brace or at least some tape, but this monday being a day off (Pentecote) everything was closed.

ahr:93 max:130

Riding back to the car quite fast as dark thunder clouds were looming behind up.
