| How awesome would this be?
http://theamazinghunt.com/ I'm so tempted... only a short drive from Seattle! (I found this while doing some research for a tentative REACH event that's going to be kinda like a Street Scramble, and kinda like The Amazing Race.)

| Open Gym in Everett
Surprisingly, the open gym was poorly attended, especially by A-leaguers. My team was pretty much all there, but the rest were either average to above-average B-leaguers and below-average A-leaguers. It was ok. My serves were pretty good, and I had a few decent hits, but my timing was way off, I think because our new setter likes to set them higher than I'm used to. My sets were inconsistent, but my passes adequate. On a side note, I think we're really going to struggle this season in A-league. From last season's middle-of-the-pack team, we lost our best girl and our best two guys (one is moving, one joined another team, and the other is hurt). Some of the obvious replacements are unavailable (new baby, coaching, injured, classes), so we've recruited a couple of guys with limited A-league experience. They'll both be fine, but they have huge shoes to fill. We're still short one girl. It'll still be fun, but with the depth of the league, we'll struggle to win games. Everyone will get a lot better, though. Matt and I will be the principal hitters, not Jesus and Ivan. Gina and Frankie will become setters now that Elan is gone.
