Good night sleep last night and woke up feeling more recharged than the last couple of days. Up, coffee and breakfast and then out the door. Really nice day here. Blue skies and sunshine with a light breeze so ideal conditions.

An out and back round the coast today and moving well. Couple of km to get going and then settled into a nice pace and felt controlled and fairly automated today. Not pushing and just a nice steady pace. Only got lunged at by 3 different dogs today so was trying my patience a bit with these oblivious fucking dog owners. The way back held together well. Slowed up the steeper climb on the way back and then got back into a rhythm to finish. Good run and legs good after yesterday’s session.

I’ve got to admit I came very close to ‘flaking that session tonight. Felt gubbed after another long day but got it done. A 12s improvement up the hill on my best time as well so pretty pleased.

Slept like a baby but still felt tired when waking up and plenty of coffee needed to get back to feeling human and productive. Cracking weather here but missed most of it. Ran at a little after 6 and an easy 20mins around Arthurs Seat. Legs felt good but head was like ‘how the fuck am I getting this done to a good standard’ as I was pretty jaded. Legs felt good and moving okay in the warm up.

Ran the first rep and almost felt like punishment for being a fucking soft cunt moaning about work. Buried myself a bit and ran it really well. Moving fluidly and pushing the whole way. Suffering at the top and vomiting back up the cereal bar I had for a snack before the run. Grim. Jogged back down and was in the mood for more. Second rep went well and not a much slower than the first rep. Felt better paced with the flatter bit slightly slower and then the end a bit faster. Last rep went okay. Tied up a little bit towards the end but in line with paces from last session although slower than the first 2 reps. Jogged back down and a short loop before getting back to the car. Didn’t feel great in the cool down and adrenaline buzz faded quick so was feeling flat.

As I say, improving and good to get it done. Just need to be more prepared for a hectic schedule coming up and preempt meals better.

Ugh what a mess of a day. Disrupted sleep and slept through my alarm this morning. Far less than ideal as had a manic day on the cards at work. Got to work sharp, 11hrs later I got out for some fresh air for a run and then just got home now. Pretty wiped out and no real chance to fuel properly and ended up grazing and snacking when I could throughout the day.

Ended up running easy and legs felt fine but did feel pretty flat energy wise. Easy out and back with some reasonable strides. Nice night for it but pretty shattered and a full on schedule until we get the shops open. Missing that 4 day week already!

Good night sleep again and legs feeling back to normal after the bigger volume. Happy to absorb that and not break anything or pick up any issues. Up and walked the dogs before s&c this morning and then breakfast and work.

Ran afterwards and a nice sunny evening tonight with no wind so great running conditions. Warmed up and got the legs turning up the hill before settling into a good pace. Legs responded well tonight and didn’t show any signs of fatigue. Felt smooth and controlled aside from swallowing two wee flies and choking a bit. Not pleasant but otherwise a good run. Again, niggle free.

Solid night sleep and awake before my alarm. Out with the dogs this morning and icy cold but by the time I was done with work then it was glorious. 11 degrees and nothing but sunshine. Picked wife up from work and ran from there instead tonight.

Overshot the route slightly but not by too much. Legs feeling significantly better today and turning much more normally. No aches or pains today. A bit snotty and congested but all good apart from that. Ran for 60 and then started the strideouts on the way back when there were no road crossings. Moving through a much better range of motion and felt pretty good. Not as sharp as normal but decent.

Slept well last night and up and out the door this morning. Hectic day ahead so needed to get out. -2 again here so dug out the layers. Yesterday’s run was definitely a false sense of security. Legs were absolutely trashed today and the run was a complete shuffle from start to finish.

Niggle free and aside from the fatigue then no issues. Just no stride length today and a real slog. Gave the strideouts a miss as legs really didn’t ease up much through the course of the hour. Hard work.

Early to bed but up at 3 and struggled to get back to sleep. Twitchy legs and restless dogs so ended up on the couch. Then both the fuckers followed me. Felt pretty tired this morning once I had conceded I wasn’t getting any more sleep. Legs feeling the last couple of days but that’s stating the obvious. No niggles or issues which is good. Eased them off walking the dogs and then headed out at 10ish. Nice and sunny here again.

First couple of strides were stiff but got moving okay. Apart from achy knees to begin with then I didn’t have any issues throughout. Legs felt and responded better than expected. Loosened off further at about 8k and the last 3 felt good. Absolutely starving now so plan is to refuel and recharge.
