Hawkshead night sprint. This was actually so hard. Having to get to the control at the same time as like 7 people and it not being air was manic. The butterfly loops didn't help as well. So I only mis-punched like 4 times but I'm convinced I didn't do it that much. I'll admit I completely missed a whole butterfly loop but that was only two controls so idk how I managed two more on top of that. Totally didn't stack it twice as well but we don't talk about that. However, I won the run-in, and like, that's the only bit that matters right?

Gym 40:00 [4]

Was meant to be an easy session with Hawkshead tomorrow, but James and my guy Jules (aka Mr. Forsyth) decided otherwise. Was doing some nice upper body and James convinced me to do goblet squats at the end. Was thinking to do 25x15 for them. Then big Jules came over and said "yh go to failure". Ended up doing like 40 reps and now I want to chop off my legs.

XC Race 26:03 [5] 6.95 km (3:45 / km) +75m 3:33 / km

Harrow cross country race. Played it a bit more tactically in this race. Two big laps so decided to cruise the first one and try and push up on the second lap. Wasn't the best idea because going onto the second lap the next people were like 50-70m ahead. Pushed hard on my own to catch up and did get them in the end but should have gone harder on the first lap. Could have gone faster if I actually had people to run with on the second lap. Not sure where I came like individually but our school won "convincingly" (thanks to the Harrow guy for that)

Nice easy run with Luca, Ganny and Johnny. Was going great for the first like 2 miles until it got pitch black and started to rain. From about 2 miles to 6 miles it was hell. Felt a bit sick idk why and it didn't help I couldn't see where I was going and nearly did my ankle in about 32 times. Last 2 miles was good running along the roads but very scary when cars nearly run us down. I'm definitely bringing a head torch next time, not enjoyable; apart from that it was very good.

Note
(sick)

missed training today because after being ill on Saturday parents made me take a PCR which we were waiting for the results of, so couldn't leave the house. PCR is negative so back to it tomorrow, not feeling ill at all now.
