Orienteering 50:23 [2] 2.9 km (17:22 / km) +70m 15:30 / km
Slow progress round the Novice course at Biggins Wood. Almost mispunched on the 2nd control, but saved myself by checking control number.
Gave the Tijhuises a big tow round most of the course, although to be fair, they seemed to be working together, and not merely following my shoddy nav.
On examining the splits, it seems I was 2nd going into the final control, but a tragic route-choice through the houses cost me 4 1/2 minutes and dropped me to 5th - would have been 6th had Tom not missed a control.
Nevertheless, general bampottery by the rest of the field meant I scored some league points, and. provided I don't mess up at Barrwood, looking like 3rd place overall.
