orienteering race (northern champs) 1:40:02 [5] 10.97 km (9:07 / km)

tried hard to focus at the begining but still made a mistake on the first leg as it is still hard to focus stright away and work out what you expect however after losing that time and getting confused directionally i fell into the area quite well and was focused and navigating decently.the next mistake came at 7 where a slight lapse on focus due to the big hill meant my direction was off and so i messed up in the circle allowing myself to be dragged off by other runners so needed to get out and come back in again. 10, 12 and 13 all had similar mistakes within the control cirlce all being dragged off line by similar features losing me some time.then came my biggest mistake with control 15, by this point i was tired so wasnt stopping to read the map and make a propper plan this meant that i weant for features that if i had thought about it werent as clear as i thought and were even harder to pick out seeing as i was tired this meant i ended up hitting the wall near the contol with no idea where i was and ended up making things fit to work out where i could be which was very wrong. so on the whole wasnt a fantastic run and wouldve just benefited from stopping and solidly planning legs if i wasnt sure ,despite the many mistakes alot of them were caught early enough and as it is a hard area they were expected.

orienteering race (british middle champs) 59:31 [4] 5.97 km (9:58 / km) +284m 8:03 / km

set off too fast withought properly planning meaning a mistake right off the bat which was fustrating and not the mindset i needed going into (in my opinion) the hardest part of the course where i made a few other mistakes mostly out of not following my plan confidently but managed to keep the mistakes not too long and did the rest of the course fairly slowly to prevent future mistakes. couldve done the last section abit faster but on the whole a fairly descent run for a hard area

orienteering race (sprint selection race) 17:32 [5] 4.08 km (4:18 / km)

at keswick.running felt pretty good on whole and was feeling fairly fluent until later in the course once i had got abit tired where i didnt stop to check my map as i ran into the control leading to a few mistakes primarily 8,9 and 11 which lead to a slightly dissapointing result which couldve been avoided if i had stop to check.but on the whole wasnt too bad a run just magnified by the level of competition.
