Trail Run 1:34:00 [3] 14.72 km (6:23 / km) +364m 5:41 / km
slept:9.0 shoes: La Sportiva Mutants

Proper nights sleep, woke up feeling good.

Nice walk this morning with Chrissy and the dog.

Really enjoyed the run, leisurely chatting with a friend but legs felt as good as they have for a ong time.

Cycling 3:04:00 [3]
slept:7.0

Better sleep, seems like the ‘sciatic’ thing is calming down. I have a chiropractor appointment but not for 10 days, but hoping there will be a cancellation sooner. Also hoping it will be gone by then!

Good gravel ride this afternoon, legs felt pretty tired, but enjoyed it. Probably just felt hard trying to keep up with stronger folk!

8 PM

S & C 20:00 [3]

1 set through of the strength session, with no weights. No sign of pain from the bum, but it didn’t hurt last time until after, so just did the one set as a tester. More just practicing the movements.

Single leg glute bridge - 10 each leg
wall ball calf raises - 12
box jumps - 10
push ups - 10
step up to pose - 10 each leg
bulgarian split squat - 10 each leg
Goblet adductor lunge - 10 each leg
offset lunges - 10 each leg

road run 1:02:00 [3] 11.18 km (5:33 / km) +86m 5:20 / km
slept:7.0 shoes: Saucony Jazz

Compromise on the sleeping, sleeping on side with pillow between legs, easier to sleep and in between amount of discomfort!

Again, feels fine running, enjoyed running this morning.

The groin is still sore, lack of sleep not helping. All manageable though.

Trail Run 1:25:00 [3] 14.16 km (6:00 / km) +137m 5:44 / km
slept:5.0 shoes: La Sportiva Helios 2.0

A bit of Googling suggested sleeping on your back with pillows under knees, which did help, didn’t really have any of the pain but also didn’t sleep very much.

The run was fine, muddy slow going, but felt ok.

Feeling pretty run down so didn’t do strength session tonight. Groin is a bit sore and it just seemed better to rest everything tonight.

Trail Run 1:02:00 [3] 10.6 km (5:51 / km) +180m 5:23 / km
slept:6.0 shoes: La Sportiva Helios 2.0

Very disturbed night with a weird pain in my flute/top of hamstring, presumably as a result of S & C yesterday.

After getting up though it seemed ok and felt ok walking the dog this morning so went for my run after lunch and it was fine on the run. Had a soak in the bath after and could feel it creeping back, seems to not like lying down.

Trail Run 1:00:00 [3] 11.11 km (5:24 / km) +32m 5:19 / km
slept:7.0 shoes: Saucony Jazz

Grumpy morning, feeling pretty bored and fed up.

Running helped but felt a bit frustrated, like I need a good hard session to snap out of it, but stuck to nice and easy. Enjoyed the strides, each time feels a bit more confident that my body is up to iit!
