Decent sleep and nice lazy start to the day. Beautiful sunny day and walked up a local fell with Chrissy and the dog, and had a picnic by the lake.

Ran from there, nice to be somewhere different. 2 sets of drills and then got running. Once again really enjoyed the feeling of running a bit faster, and it felt fairly comfortable. I ran and out and back on mostly flat trails. Into a head wind going out and lovely going back.

Did a bit more decorating in the evening and then watched rugby, rubbish. Feeling quite tired this evening.

Reasonable sleep. Up early, quick breakfast and out.

Ran down to the sports field gently, 2 sets of drills and on with session. The 8 diagonals fely pretty good. Nice running on frosty grass. Nice easy running the rest of the time.

Home for all day sat in front of a screen for a tedious days online training for work.

Beautiful sunny day so when the online training finished we snuck out for a nice spin on the bike. 30k gentle on the road.

Good sleep again. Nice day today, met up with a couple of friends to do a very relaxed gravel bike ride, mostly in the sunshine.

Back home in time for a zoom anatomy lesson, dog walk, and dinner. All very relaxed.

great nights sleep, feel good this morning.

Pleased that have no aches and pains after yestrerdays faster run.

Headed out after breakfast for my run, had to change plans as the road was flooded, its so wet around the Lakes at the minute. Nice run though, still raining and very wet under foot, but enjoyed it and legs felt good.

Reasonable night sleep and all good this morning. No aches and pains from the strength work.

Spent the morning doing more DIY and the afternoon on a zoom lesson. Met a friend at 5 to go running.

Weather was proper grim, wet and windy. Did one set of drills warm up and then moderate paced run on pretty flat trails. It was an out and back, and the way out was into a horrible headwind so didn’t really look at the pace but enjoyed trying a bit harder. Nice when we turned back with a tail wind to flow along the trail a bit. Towards the end the groin felt a little bit fatigued, nothing terrible, but decided not to do the strides and just stuck with the moderate pace.

It felt great to be actually running, despite the weather, was loving it.

Monday Feb 22, 2021 #

Good sleep, feeling good today. Shin and groin both feel pretty good. Looking forward to a bit of faster running.

3 sets of 20 glute bridges on a step, gentle run down to the sports field. 2 sets of drills at the field and then the diagonals, enjoyed opening up a bit on the diagonals. Lovely to be running in blue skies and sunshine.

Rest of the day building a bookcase and then cycled back to frenchfields to pace a friend on his 5k challenge. Good fun.

Good sleep, woke up feeling good. Nice hike with Chrissy and the dog this morning up a local fell.

Afternoon popped out for a couple of leisurely hours on the gravel bike. Very leisurely. Legs were fairly tired but feeling fine.
