Planned an easy MTB ride on the van Ho trails but HR went crazy/ dizzy & light headed about 40 minutes in, after several minutes of riding on soft ski trails. Headed for home right away on the highway but HR went even higher after an easy uphill so walked up the remaining grades. Will check with cardiologist tomorrow to see if they detected afib from my monitor after it downloads tonight. Too bad, as fair weather is finally here but it was great to see the single track trails at van Ho had been cleared for the first time in 2 years!

Orienteering race 2:30:00 [3]

EMPO club meet at Moreau; Green course; 3.9 km, 12 controls. Time 1:41:38;
actual distance 5.6 km. Pretty good outing. Mostly used marshes even when they took me off course a bit - strategy worked pretty well. Missed 2 controls - kind of lost track of things which is deadly at Moreau, and wandered around a bit. On both occasions there wasn't much to help relocate and had just made the decision to head back to the nearest trail (which wasn't very near) when I fortunately noticed the flag not too far away. Not a great time - don't know the overall results yet but most Red runners were way faster - but just poked along and was happy to find everything pretty well. It can be a scary experience getting lost up there. Great courses set by Gabor and nice spring day to be out!

H's Wds, 60 min. loop. Start/finish in parking lot to avoid road section and hopefully suppress HR a little. Time 60:09; a HR 138; total climb 725'. Watched HR continuously and was able to keep in low 140s on climbs. Mostly bounded up S'back. Shouldn't really worry about time but will see if it comes down over the summer while keeping HR <140.

Planned an easy ride around C'wood trails but got over there to find they'd closed everything off again, after being open last week. So snuck in a back way and did a couple of short loops anyway.
