Event: West Point

Orienteering race 1:39:30 [4]
West Point Blue

Good run, but definitely got lucky at times.
E.g., on #3 started confidently, slowed down, started walking and was ready to quit because I thought I was off the map, had no idea what anything was, and had no idea how to find the control aside from climbing to the top of the mountain. But, I turned around, ran a few steps and saw a control.

Most other controls were good except for the long leg back along bland hill. Again missed, but made the right guess and found it shortly.

5-10 minutes of errors and hesitation - hard to say.

West Point Sprint.

Good until short legs on hillside where I lost 45 seconds each on 4 controls. Then the hill leg which was just bad for me.

Mostly grass, surprisingly enough.

Close to a 4 effort. These new machines can't be scammed - even at high rpms, there is still constant resistance.
Cross Training 20:00 [3]
level 12 hills, 384 calories
Pretty solid - mostly good on the high end.
