Swimming 42:52 [3] 1.0 mi (42:53 / mi)

Swim with my dad I wanted an active recovery day but I also don’t want to do too much mileage in terms of running this week.

Thursday Feb 23 #

Running 18:23 [2] 2.5 mi (7:21 / mi)

Workout got cut short because it was 20° and peoples joints weren’t working. Ended up doing 4x200 all out. Also Stewart bought us pizza!

Running 41:37 [3] 5.01 mi (8:18 / mi) +80ft 8:11 / mi

I was really trying to run easy but my HR was too high. Kinda disappointed about that. Hopefully I don’t injured myself due to stupidity and lack of self awareness.

Running 38:10 [4] 5.22 mi (7:19 / mi) +220ft 7:02 / mi

Ben Brady, Ben Cooper, Jackson and I met up to do a run. I figured I would run the first part with them since I was doing a tempo and they were running easy and those paces are similar for us. I figured the tempo would be around 6:50-7:10 pace, but the guys decided to go out fast. Our 2 mile split was 15:03 and Ben Brady mentioned I could PR in the 5k if I kept up that pace. At this point I didn’t feel like I was pushing too hard, so I pushed an extra mile and PR’d by 13 seconds! (20:21) most of this was downhill, but I think the benefit of that is canceled out by the fact that I did a hard speed workout yesterday. I'm gonna take tomorrow real easy

Running 36:01 [4] 5.15 mi (7:00 / mi)

I was really worried about this workout because the wind was 20-35 MPH and it was raining the entire time. This workout was a major confidence booster. First set was supposed to be at 95 pace but I hit 89s! Second set was going for 86s but I hit 82s. First set was 400 recovery and second set was 200 recovery.
