tips for after a bad race and all i want to feel is pain. Karate broke my brain a little bit so my go to regulation is to want to punch something or to get punched but can't really do either of those at a track meet so I scratch my legs till they bleed but i know that's not the best option either

So pissed about this. I wish i had run with my watch so I'd have an idea of how far/how fast i was going. Spent the entire thing alone except when we got lapped. I didn't know my laps and despite asking the official on 3 different laps they didn't seem to know either. We don't even know if our finish time is right bc we think they missed my last 200. I hate that I didn't push at all. I keep forgetting how short the mile is compared to the 5k but honestly i wanted to run this mile time in my 5k last week so I can't even really blame that. I know that not every race can be good, but it fucking sucks when they're bad like this. I can't go back to change it but I wish i could. It hurts so bad when it's not your body limiting you

no your eyes don't decieve you, I was allowed to go out and run today ! Dan wanted me to elliptical but was swayed by the fact that tomorrow is race day. It still kinda burns to take a deep breath but I feel ready for tomorrow. Feeling fast

Felt really good to get moving, but throat burned the whole time. Definitely made the right call yesterday. Just want to get a little better each day. Calves are big sore but that's not super surprising considering I've just been sitting in the lactic acid. Shin actually felt ok after the first half mile

Checked in with Tara... she was not happy i ran today when she heard how hoarse my voice was. Probably going to take tomorrow off. Tara thinks it's in my best interest to be chomping at the bit ready to run on Friday, coach seems to agree
