run with Tess !

probably not how most people would pull together a 20 mile week to start xc training but it made me really happy and that's what matters. Plus it shows me that I'm on track to do 45 next week if I did 22 on a half week

felt so much better today than yesterday. Made a judgement call to not do the workout just cuz everything is still very tight and I stand by that being the best choice. I'm gonna dig in with workouts, lift and core starting next week
11 AM

stretch 20:00 [3]

still in my long stretch era

i know for a fact that today's run was 5 miles so played around with how long it took (based on the elapsed time) to get the pace right.
ngl this one was rough. I know that it's just typical summer training stuff, but it was incredibly difficult to stay in a positive mindset. but that's ok, not every day needs to be perfect.
writing this while stretching bc everything is tight and I think that is the major factor in making my knee hurt. Still gonna be a little extra nice to it and keep an eye on it but again I'm not worried. this is just my body reacting to 2 weeks off

stretch 20:00 [3]

9 PM

rehab/recovery 1:00:00 [3]

feet and hips day 11
this one almost didn't happen but I rallied myself to do it while watching say yes to the dress. Post several hours in the car picking James up at the airport

Super fun first run back. i feel like everyone's been saying it but I'm definitely dehydrated despite my best efforts so it was a little rough. The stop lights helped ease me in to this again. Felt really nice to be moving, altho started to get some pain in my knee near the end but that's prob just shaking the rust off
