Wednesday Jun 12 #

9 AM

warm up 5:00 [3]

just rolling out my feet and joint mob.. slept in today and wanted to get out before it got hot
10 AM

run 1:12:22 [3] 8.0 mi (9:03 / mi)
shoes: Topo Fly-Lyte(3)

did not want to get out this morning and laid in bed much too long as to make my inevitable fate even worse, but once I was out and moving this didn't feel so bad. Started my summer audiobook series, currently listening to "The Girls in the Garden" which will go by pretty quick. Hoping to make a good dent in this year's book goal over the next couple weeks
11 AM

stretch 10:00 [3]

7 PM

karate 1:45:00 [3]

counting this as my rehab for the night

Tuesday Jun 11 #

8 AM

warm up (3) 15:00 [3]

run warm up/down 28:53 [3] 3.5 mi (8:15 / mi)
shoes: Topo Fly-Lyte(3)

9 AM

run tempo 17:20 [3] 2.3 mi (7:32 / mi)
shoes: Topo Fly-Lyte(3)

2x8 minutes at tempo, looking for 6:35-6:40 pace bc that's allegedly where I'm supposed to be. I did start at this pace for the first rep and managed to hold on for about 4 minutes then clearly died out in the second half. I took that as feedback and focused the second effort on feeling strong and fast. I knew I wasn't gonna hit my splits bc I was fried from that first rep so it wasn't worth it to beat myself up. I aimed for tempo effort which my hr reflects.
6:57 and 7:20 were my avg paces for the 8 minute efforts
I'm also taking this as a personal note that I need to keep taking my iron even when I'm at home actually eating iron rich food

run warm up/down 15:29 [3] 1.6 mi (9:41 / mi)
shoes: Topo Fly-Lyte(3)

finished the tempo, stood around and questioned my life choices before trying a putter jog at first. Immediately regretted it and walked for a good quarter mile before starting up again. Knee and quad were both hurting so finished a little early as well
3 PM

walk 1:00:00 [3] 3.0 mi (20:00 / mi)

to and from the train station plus walking around Boston before the game

Monday Jun 10 #

7 AM

warm up (1) 15:00 [3]

8 AM

run 1:11:09 [3] 8.0 mi (8:54 / mi)
shoes: Topo Fly-Lyte(3)

I swear I planned on doing strides today, even up until I finished the run. Today felt pretty overall, but once I stopped my right quad felt very not correct, so I decided against strides. A little confusing bc it felt good right up until I stopped so we'll wait and see how it feels tomorrow ig
4 PM

lift 40:00 [3]

6 PM

walk 31:43 [3] 1.45 mi (21:52 / mi)

slowly conditioning my mom to want a post dinner walk
8 PM

rehab/recovery 40:00 [3]

feet and hips day 20

Sunday Jun 9 #

Note
slept:8.5

a moment for maxing out at 45 miles last year
7 AM

warm up (7) 10:00 [3]

run long 1:37:27 [3] 11.02 mi (8:51 / mi)
shoes: Topo Fly-Lyte(3)

tried a new loop today bc I don't have a great way to make my 10/12 loop into 11 (I did however find a way to make it 13 so it's proving to be a very dynamic option)
6 ish x 30 second pick ups
I generally did 1:30 off but also kept losing track of time and how many I did. I was definitely at least 6 but could've been as many as 8
9 AM

stretch 5:00 [3]

wayyyy too short of a stretch imo but had to get to church
