Debated for a while if this was allowed or not, but eventually decided that as it was barely further than the supermarket and it provided an accessible place to run with few people around that it was just about okay. Annoyingly, Martyn had exactly the same idea. Really tough, lots of climb straight from the off and suffered from then on, but really enjoyed it and was feeling pretty good. Going to miss this glorious weather.

Feeling quite good yet again, maybe it's the sunshine, but it's dead nice. Meet Martyn and ran with him for the middle bit, before we split and went down our respective valleys. Car park closed at fforest Fawr, but the road outside rammed with cars. Another perfect evening.

Loop on CyA as just wanting a short one this evening - my body isn't used to running this regularly! Another absolutely perfect day and not so busy up this side, though I did see some dog walkers, a couple of runners and a mountain bike, none of I which I would usually expect to see. Some serious bramble and bracken clearance going on in the nature reserve bit at the bottom - perfect for Gay's race...

SDR with Martyn, meeting him on route at the Ty Nant. Amazingly nice and mild evening - first run of the year in shorts and T and was plenty warm enough. Picked up a stick to aid opening gates and climbing styles to reduce contact. Hope we aren't stopped doing activity like this. Body feeling and reacting surprisingly good.

Online FVO Pilates session. This was good fun, though I was quite rubbish - fortunately I had accidentally turned my webcam off so no one could see my uselessness. Will be good to make this a regular session over the next few weeks.

SDR (sure everyone can work out what that means these days) with MOK on Llangydnir Common an eastwards. Amazing day, but quite a chilly wind (which was thankfully behind us for the second half). Quiet bit of the hills this but still saw a notable number of people out. Eastern half was great, lots of running on grassy tramways and great views. Shouldn't have taken so to get out here. Tired by the end and felt like 10km further than it actually was,

A socially distanced ride with Mark - loop up to Caerphilly Mtn and around Sengenydd Common, lovely day and really nice to be out. Also have never, ever, seen Fforest Fawr so busy - car park was grid lock with people trying to get in and out. Seems the way to get people to spend time outside with their families is to both them them not to do it (saw one group which appeared to be two full families of three generations all playing together) and close the shops.
