Another be nice to legs day, though they were actually feeling quite reasonable. Not feeling very motivated despite it actually being quite a nice day 9aside from a cold northerly). Just about managed to get home with dry feet, which hasn't happened in a while.

Bike - Gravel 3:18:20 intensity: (4:18 @0) + (1:30:30 @1) + (1:21:46 @2) + (20:29 @3) + (1:17 @4) 49.44 km (4:01 / km) +683m 3:45 / km

Gravel bike with Mark and Nick around Llanwonno. Much damper than expecting at the start with near persistent drizzle, which turned to sleet higher up in the woods. Thankfully cleared on the return and the sun almost came out. Nice easy pace and the only mechanical was a damaged disc pad from me (second time the same one has lost its pad - new brand next time I think). Nice easy pace and very enjoyable - easy washed the bike immediately on getting home!

Bike - Static 45:01 [2]
ahr:33 max:49

Upper outside of quads unusually tight and feeling like my body needs a few easy days in general, so trundled on the turbo while watching a grand Designs.

Run - Trail 1:10:51 intensity: (23 @0) + (7:10 @1) + (36:27 @2) + (19:47 @3) + (6:55 @4) + (9 @5) 11.54 km (6:08 / km) +312m 5:24 / km

East today and again sought trails that I don't use very often. Upper quads tight and didn't like steep climbs, so looked for the easier ascending options. Coal adit just above the 4x4 track below the Black Cock has been clocked up - somewhere else I should have had a nosy inside while there was na opportunity.

Run - Trail 1:10:57 intensity: (16 @0) + (3:41 @1) + (10:00 @2) + (43:58 @3) + (12:42 @4) + (20 @5) 11.64 km (6:06 / km) +277m 5:27 / km

Lunchtime loop around Pentyrch in an unusual way. Consecutive days of running building up in my legs, which is sort of the plan.

Run - Trail 1:21:17 intensity: (6 @0) + (8:06 @1) + (36:50 @2) + (21:23 @3) + (14:50 @4) + (2 @5) 12.56 km (6:28 / km) +333m 5:43 / km

Was meant to be meeting Martyn but we got our interpretation of when to meet up confused and didn't end up in the same place at the same time. Started in rain, but eased once off the hill. Legs heavy, so opted for slow and steady and cut it short. Made it to the top of CyA before needing to turn the light on, nearly 6, which is a nice positive sign of Spring coming - the rain and mud not so much.

Monday Feb 1 #

12 PM

Run - Road 32:51 intensity: (1:29 @1) + (22:16 @2) + (9:06 @3) 6.33 km (5:11 / km) +59m 4:58 / km
ahr:125 max:142 shoes: Salomon Trailster 2

Needed some flat and easy, so decided to wear a new pair of shoes in on the tarmac. Even though just about all of this loop is on cycleways, running on straight tarmac just slows time to a virtual standstill. Felt like I was easily out twice as long.
