Wednesday Apr 30

Road Bike 3:05:00 [2] 75 km (2:28 / km) +1300m 2:16 / km
We had the afternoon off, so went for a ride with JF and Sebastian. Pfäffikon-Rappi-Wald-Gibswil-Hulftegg-Wattwil-Hemberg-Salomon-Ebnat Kappel-Wattwil. Weather turned all of a sudden when we reached top of Hemberg and it started to rain cats and dogs and also got very, very cold. There was no other option than riding down. I have never frozen more on the bike than today, was really ugly. Sebi and myself took the train in Wattwil, could not ride any longer. Our bodies shivered during the whole train ride, I guess body temp was a bit below 36 C...

Monday Apr 28

Running 1:08:17 [3] 12 km (5:41 / km) +350m 4:58 / km
shoes: Nike Free
Lunch run with Thomas; started from the parking lot below Meinrad and continued along the road towards Diebishütte. Turned there and ran the "X-mas lady course" back. Legs felt fine but I felt pretty dizzy after the light climb. Still not the way it should be.

Innerschwyzer OL with Nadia, cat. OK on Schutt map in Goldau. Very adventerous forest, full of rocks and with a very nice pond. Nadia did a good job and we ended up 3rd!

I'm in the military service this week. We were offered to go swimming, but I opted for a run in Rümlangerwald. Was raining cats and dogs but it was good to get a break from the military life. Easy pace, got a bit lost on the way back.

Sunday Apr 20

Road Bike 4:20:00 119 km (2:11 / km) +1200m 2:05 / km
Kruth - Col de Bussang - Ballon d'Alsace - Basel. 2nd day of our Tour des Vosges. Had hammered legs on the fist ascent, Col de Bussang, and had to ride in my own pace. Butt also hurted what made pedalling quite painful. Legs got better and better, so I accelerated a bit on the way up to Ballon d'Alsace (1165m) and to my surprise, only Corsin held my wheel. Continued in steady pace till the top, waiting looooooooong time for stone ;). The remaining 80km were ridden quite fast, with the strongest tractor stone often in front. My legs were still ok after 90km, so I contributed a bit on the last hilly 10km after Corsin reopened the race... ;). Avg. speed of 27.5km/h. All in all another great cycling weekend, despite the disappointing weather. My body was doing quite ok, little diziness and no signs of fatigueness. I'm quite happy.

Saturday Apr 19

Road Bike 4:45:00 117 km (2:26 / km) +1300m 2:18 / km
Basel - Rheinebene - Grand Ballon d'Alsace - Kruth. 1st day of "Tour des Vosges", with stone and Corsin. The first 70km were totally flat with strong tail- and headwind, not so much my thing. In the first climb towards le Grand Ballon, I did follow stone but legs were already dead. The last 400m of the climb were a real pain, legs just didn't want to pedal anymore. Stone climbed much better, Corsin suffered even more. The descent down to Kurth was really cold, hope i didn't catch a cold.

Thursday Apr 17

Road Bike 1:25:00 [2] 36 km (2:22 / km) +250m 2:17 / km

Sunday Apr 13

Bellevue-Kilchberg-Adliswil-Buechenegg (14:05)-Aegeri-Raten-Pfaeffikon. We did the same tour exactly one year ago and I suffered so much more that time. Today, legs felt really strong, could push as I wanted and nicely accelerate on the last part of Raten. Power output of up to 350 W on the last few hundred meters, 1200 VAM. Weather better than expected at around 17C max. With JF, Stone and Sebi. Avg speed of 26.5km/h

Saturday Apr 12

Road Bike 1:20:00 [2] 30 km (2:40 / km) +300m 2:32 / km
