| Home-Kilchberg-Adliswil-Buechenegg-same way back. Tried to take it easy, also on the climb. Hot again. I think there are not many nicer things on earth than riding a pass with the road bike?! :)
Another note; I read in one of this year's Giro d'Italia rider's (Robert Förster) diary that the "Grupetto" (last pack of the field in a climb, mostly sprinters) was riding the final climb with a speed of just 10-11km/h and he was even suffering at that pace. Hmmm...?! More on: http://radsportnews.net/2007/froesisgirotagebuch.s...

| A repetition of a ride we did 4 weeks ago; City-Kilchberg-Adliswil-Buechenegg (14:10)-Sihlbrugg-Aegeri-Raten-Pfäffikon. This time only with JF. My legs were crap from the beginning on, so the Raten was again a real pain. JF is now much stronger than me, even in the steep parts where he used to struggle due to his weight (84kg). However, he has trained very well recently, having 3000km (plus hometrainer) in his legs so far. He is a good example of the old wisdom "Good training will always pay off".
The positive thing was that I felt quite ok overall and also tried not to push myself, nevertheless, the legs were a big disappointment. When I remember how I was able to climb in my youth, 2000m of climbing without a problem and now, on a hilly 65km course, I could hardly press the pedals down on the last 300m hill. Sad.

| Very nice after work ride with Barbi; City-Kilchberg-Adliswil-Buchenegg-Stallikon-Uetikon-Affoltern-City. Felt pretty crappy but enjoyed the nice weather. Barbi was strong on the uphills! | ||
Wednesday May 9 | ||
| Running 58:00 [2] 11 km (5:16 / km) | ||
| (sick) shoes: Adidas Supernova Cushion 06 | ||
| Lunch run to Rappi with Päde. Päde forced me to go, I'm still not feeling comfortable while running. I think the time is PW, personal worst... anyway, time is secondary, more important is the health! | ||
Tuesday May 1 | ||

| Evening run with Alice, up to the Dolder and then to the Lorenkopf, back trough Dettenried. Felt not very good despite the very easy pace. | ||
