Superior Spring 25K race
Muddy race. I got to 1/2 way at 1hr06min, feeling decent. I bombed the downhill, but considering the hundreds of runners on the muddy course, the course was just trashed. Many of the uphill sections were non runnable and my left hammy was bothering me with every slip. I took my time climing and rolled the flatter and downhill sections.
NEW for this year, was a final hill at the very end. This reduced the flat road section and added one last climb up the side of the mountain. This slowed things down, but I enjoyed the longer downhill finish. I think I prefer this finish.

The night before the race, we were dealing with water leaking form the room. This cut into my sleep, but after my temporary fix, I fell asleep quickly.

45 min before work with 3 x 5 min pick ups
Toe felt a bit sore near the end, but good. The main issue was the left hamstring. It felt a bit bruised near the start and during the slower sections, it felt hot and a bit sore.

On the upside, my lungs and rest of my body felt much better today than yesterday. Looking forward to the race and will commit to not overthink it. I've had good training so far and am thankful that my lungs are good.

Running 42:03 [3] 5.27 mi (7:59 / mi) +77ft 7:52 / mi
ahr:149 max:179 slept:7.75

Felt rough. Right toe still uncomfortable, and my left hamstring was tight and sore.
A bit of a hectic day at work and didn't get a break until almost 3.

Felt good to finally run, though, after taking 3 days off. Just felt like there were lots of cobwebs to shake off.

Running 1:02:43 [2] 5.81 mi (10:47 / mi) +278ft 10:19 / mi
ahr:153 max:177

planned to go out for 2hrs of trails, but cut it short due to right big toe.

I woke up feeling better, but after 1/2 hr of running I noticed the pain was starting to get worse and my body was very tense. I'm pretty confident it's not a bone problem, rather some toe nail issue.
