Orienteering long 46:33 [3] *** 8.37 km (5:34 / km) +18m 5:30 / km
ahr:177 spiked:29/30c shoes: Mizuno TT 2

Bedford Urban - 2nd WO
Really good run! Chose a pace at the start, slightly slower than it stayed at, and stayed at that the whole way round, with a few drops here and there to stay in touch with the map. Took Charlotte's advice, and just planned one control and its exit at a time, and worked wonders! Maybe not quite so good for multi-level stuff though. A couple super long legs in there, that were a bit boring, and definitely was a bad example of crossing roads to the kids on the streets, but it was worth it, beat Roger!

Orienteering 18:51 [3] *** 3.5 km (5:23 / km) +42m 5:05 / km
spiked:18/18c shoes: Mizuno TT 2

Milton Keynes Sprint 1
Nav was pretty perfect, but stomach was not settled at start, so didn't feel like I could go very fast - also a very boring area which did not help speed motivation

Orienteering race 17:56 [4] *** 3.7 km (4:51 / km) +27m 4:41 / km
spiked:19/20c shoes: Mizuno TT 2

Milton Keynes Sprint 2
Much better, started 1 min behind Dan, so really pushed to try and catch him the whole way through. Didn't succeed, but only 1m behind him. Nav was very good again at the higher speed, still not as fast as desired, but getting there!

Run warm up/down 35:00 [2] 5.0 km (7:00 / km) +50m 6:40 / km
shoes: Mizuno TT 2

Just a guess at the WU and WD, much longer for run 2 than run 1 - something to copy!

Friday Jun 7 #

Cycle 20:00 [2] 7.0 km (2:51 / km) +10m 2:50 / km

To Tesco from school
Back from Tesco with 15kg bag

Thursday Jun 6 #

Run warm up/down 51:00 [3] 8.2 km (6:13 / km) +20m 6:09 / km
shoes: Mizuno TT 2

4km WU run to Trumpington
4km WD run from Trumpington
Gentle, very few pauses either way - felt good!

Orienteering intervals 17:50 [4] *** 4.0 km (4:28 / km) +25m 4:19 / km
spiked:18/18c shoes: Mizuno TT 2

BUCS Men's A Relay race
Really good! - Not quite as fast as at BUCS, but racing myself and after 4km, can't expect to be as fast as that. 5m intervals @ Lactate threshold (or what felt like it!) Only one nav mistake going into a dead-end - but in fairness, the print on my paper made it look like a canopy rather than a building.

Note
(rest day)

Legs feel really tired today, so was gonna go for a swim, but decided not to. Got lots of revision done ahead of the triple on Tuesday - also keeping in mind that I won't have loads of time to revise at the weekend - but a double sprints should be fun!
Gonna go do some sprint training at Trumpington tomorrow, I think, after English Language Paper 2

Tuesday Jun 4 #

Run intervals 13:00 [3] 3.2 km (4:04 / km) +40m 3:49 / km
shoes: Mizuno TT 2

4 * 800m with Kate
(3:20, 3:15, 3:10, 3:10)
Could definitely feel my legs - really tired after the last week, tomorrow is gonna be a rest day. Decent given that and not on the best terrain for pushing hard - always mentally challenging when the finish line is around the corner, looks like you're almost there, but then there's more to go!

Gonna do these kinds of sessions each week with Kate - we both have stuff to prove, so hopefully it'll keep us going!

Run warm up/down 18:00 [3] 3.0 km (6:00 / km) +25m 5:46 / km
shoes: Mizuno TT 2

Run to the 800m road and back - feeling kinda tired

Cycle 1:00:00 [3] 25.0 km (2:24 / km) +50m 2:23 / km

Cycle to and from Kate's and School
Felt harder on the way there than the way back - despite going slower. Just drizzling on the way there, then on the way back got stopped at the railway, then it chucked it down, with just a shirt on - not the best decision of my life, also forgot high vis ....
Generally - really fun!

Monday Jun 3 #

Run 59:45 [3] 10.5 km (5:41 / km) +40m 5:35 / km
ahr:171 max:180 shoes: Mizuno TT 2

Long run with Izzy
Finding it disappointingly hard - but quite enjoyable, now have some new routes to do. After a decent maths paper - mightve got 100% on that paper!

S&C 30:00 [3]
ahr:120

5 *(
8 * 25kg deep squats with a bar
8 * high box jumps
)
