Legs took a long while to settle in but got it done, 6 laps of trying to avoid Neil's cows on pikedaw, unsuccessfully, few chases. 2 laps to the summit and the rest just the steep section. Binned the vest pack at the bottom barn, snickers on the 3rd lap, squares on the 5th, then banana and gel to get me home. Stuck in some 50 cent on the third onwards which everything feel easier

Weets top from hanlith with a nice westerly to aid, then a lap of gordale gremlin and trot back along past Janet's. Need to up the weekly climb given the big round objectives planned with Ben. Legs feeling the session yesterday but OK, tried to keep it easy.
Trying to plan the next 4 days of running, need to get a longy in somehow but with a huge wedding Saturday the weekend is a write off so might have to be an evening job, but really needs to be 30k with good climb, hmm. Then perhaps look to pedal a bit on Sunday maybe with the inevitable stinking hangover, following a couple easier days after the longy, and maybe accept the single session week, but that's probably OK

Pretty tired from late night and hotel plus long day mentally, managed to get home in good time and was feeling OK and had wanted a session of some sort, flat one just made sense. 6 x ~800m on the hanlith - KM Rd, legs felt pretty strong going reasonably quick. I usually feel maxed out at 3.20-3.30 pace, but clipping along at 3.15ish didn't feel outrageous in the legs as it normally does, even if I obviously can't actually hold it for that long but doing sessions will help that, different limiting factors. I think the physio strengthening exercises are paying off, less reliance on the quads, and the glutes + hams are much stronger so able to propel well with each stride.
The kickbacks I think are especially helping. Good signs

Legs felt surprisingly OK after a heavy ass weekend, one for the history books with the chaps but usual rotten feels in the head. Great to get out still, bit of remnant afterglow, very very lucky to live in such a place, grateful feels while coming along the fields to bell busk, enjoying just being out and moving
