Running (beachhh) 29:56 [3]

ran along the beach in bare feet and board shorts :D haha. great fun. only bit of proper, non walking around excerise on hols though.
surfers is pretty awesome. drank lots of boosts, and ate lots of pizza and gelato :D

hmm...so. family holiday until friday after what i reckon was a pretty successful week. whilst some results could have been better im still pleased. i actually think the main thing that let me down was mistakes. so ill keep working on my fitness the way i am atm coz it seems to be coming along nicely. have to try and do some technical training before NZ. im so pumped!!!!! :D :D :D

running 3rd leg for the 2nd stingers team. thought the 8.2km or whatever was gonna be pretty epic before i started but didnt turn out to be too bad. but i was glad to finish.
lost serious time on #16. was like...the second one after the spectator. so pretty annoyed about that. also a bit disappointed time was so far off :( ah well...

eurgh. absolutely pathetic. felt flat and had now flow running through the bush whatsoever. very slow. and the mustakes i made didnt help me either. stuffed up real bad early on. losing lots on #1 and #4. then more at #11. real exhausted although it was good to do the last few with kurt.
so VERY unhappy about this run :( grrrr.

there wasnt much room. plus intense spectator viewing meant i was stopping and starting lots :P

went out a bit behind but i wasnt really bothered. took the pressure off :)
another pleasing run. managed to have the second quickest leg time overall even though i was running by myself the whole way. legs felt a bit flat to begin with but i was still moving pretty good. no real mistakes either. bit cautious on 10. thats about it. very pleased :)

had a good run today. i did lose time but not THAT much. felt good running again which is another good sign. and i wasnt as nervous as i thought i would be :P
got most the controls alright. lost a little bit on #9 when i was up higher hitting the watercourse than i thought i was. and had bad exit direction out of 10 coz of the lantana. this forced me into a fairly bad route choice on the long leg. losing time to most the other stingers here i think (the splints arent up). but main stuff up was after the spectator control where i came over the spur too early and ended up in the wrong gully. losing about 45secs. which gave me a very nervous wait at the finish for lachy to finish after he was only about 30secs behind at the spectator. i feel bad for beating him by 1 second :(

hmm....positives and negatives about this run.
i felt good running for the most of it. going well up the hills and stuff. only in the last part di i start to get exhausted.
and i think the results show this aswel coz i was still competitive despite making HEAPS of mistakes in the circle. i reckon i lost about 6mins all up over the course. even on #1 where i had the quickest split after losing 30+sec :S proceeded to screw up #2 much the same way by stopping early. more time lost here. lost time at #6 even though i had already been through here on the way to 1. 7 was pretty tricky but lost more time. and then ran past 10 by aaaaages :( bit hesitant into #11. and bit too much time in the green at #14.
still...pleasing result. if only i hadnt stuffed up eh.... :(

hmm....solid start to the carnival. lost time on some legs and splits show that. #12 in particular. was our last control in the complex stuff and i screwed it. probs lost about 2mins. silly.
4 was a bit bad. through too much green in the circle. then lost time on 5 aswel coz i went round the hill too much i think. 6 a bit dodgy and hesitant into 8.
so...could have been better but i was happy enough with that result.
