Running warm up/down 35:00 [2] 4.2 km (8:20 / km)

took longer to warm up. fricken freezing today!!...i loved it :P it feels good to warm yourself up heaps by running. haha.

Running intervals 25:00 [5] 4.8 km (5:12 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 15

ints at the track.
4* (600, 400, 200) with 100m jog between ints and 2mins between sets.
sweet session. times were...alright...better than last week but still not happy. might try this session with less time between sets next time.
this week is heaps stacked and then next week shorter, so i reckon itl be good to do a shorter sharper session coz i feel like i have lost a bit of my track speed :(
happy with it though :)

left leg felt a little wierd again in this and the warm down :S

mum made up for being slack and not training, and watching more of a sprinter than me by getting a boost that i could have after. was sooooooooooooooo nice. dont think ive ever enjoyed a boost more :P haha.

good sprint run at the uni. really like this map.
not on top of planning ahead and exit direction at the start and accidentally wen through the wrong passage to 2, but dont think it mattered that much coz i realised. rest of the course was pretty good. no route choce errors and actually felt fast til like the last 2. smahsed kas in the finish :P haha.

bit of extra training on the uni map. thanks to arthur for the extra course.
first time round went out with julian to see how long i could keep up and what its like to orienteer at the pace he does. lost him half way to 6 but i cut across this loop and jogged to run the last bit together at pace. v tough, and i was exhausted. 2 sprints in a day is hard!
then went out with the senior boys. mass start but huon wasnt running it hard so i went with him. v solidly paced jog.
sweet training :)

awesome weekend.
managed to watch powerthirst 3 times yesterday without a computer :P haha.
congrtas to the NSW team :)
senior boys are gonna smash it!!! :P

no warm down coz i had this wierd pain in my lower leg and butt on the left side. dunno what it was but its gone now. maybe coz like my lower leg was aching on course a bit. hmm...

ran the M21 today for the long.
not the greatest run. felt bit slow at times and i made few small mistake - ran down past 4, and made a complete mess of 9. then accidentally got myself in the dark green going to the last control.
just not fast enough for the longer distance. bit disappointing :( enjoyed it though. and felt like i was working hard.

QBIII - day 1. Southams road west.
running M18 today. good to have some nice competition with the senior boys. felt good running and kept a good pace the whole way. and navigated well too which is good considering its pretty much been 2 weeks since ive been oing :l only a small mistake on the first and the last. happy with the time and km rate. felt like i was going fast :)
totally missed my chance to smash kas in the finish chute :'(

20min warm up. with run throughs.

forgot the HRM today :(
scott westcott and his group were warming up as i was down. ran with them for a bit and had a chat. theyve switched to king edward on a thurs now so im gonna try and join them next week :l

did something a bit different tonight. partly because everything was heaps moist, and partly because i felt like it.
bit longer ints/hills. didnt know what to call them coz the first half was flat but the second half was up a tough hill. bout a 650-680 loop around the road with 1min jogging down a hill to the start again.
2.24, 2.28, 2.29, 2.33, 2.30, 2.26, 2.30.
thought i was gonna lose it but actually happy with how the last few held up :)
real good session! will definitely do again.
enjoyed it too. which is good considering i wasnt so pumped for it beforehand.

sorta...skipped the warm down. oops.

Running race 4:53 [5] 1.5 km (3:15 / km)

1500 at zone. just wanted to stick with the leaders til about the 3rd lap and overtake then but the pace was so slow i got sick of it after about 350m so i stepped it up a little bit withought going crazy. first lap was like 85secs or something. hahaha. really tried to go for it and finish strong from about 600m. and got about a 68-69sec last lap. oo yeah :) hell of a lot better than yesty. managed to take the win. regional will be a good race.

think i need to do something else today because i was meant to do a long run. maybe go to the gym...
