shoes: Inov-8 X-Talon 212 (b)

much happier with today. essentially a clean run in which i worked as hard as i could given the terrain. knew everyone would be finding it tough. pretty annoyed at the map quality. wouldnt mind taking an NOL win though, just for a bit more confidence. ian got me again today. hes running too well :P

Running warm up/down 25:00 [3]

for the day
9 AM

Sprint Orienteering race 19:10 [5] 3.2 km (5:59 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel DS Racer VII - R/W

sprint around macquarie uni. pretty tricky and it definitely brought me a bit unstuck in places, making a few small errors in the circleee. bit annoyed but ill take the 3rd. felt good running. read my descriptions better today and it helped, but it would have been nice if i didnt read some of them wrongly...
2 PM

Orienteering race 48:13 [5] 4.8 km (10:03 / km) +180m 8:28 / km
shoes: Inov-8 X-Talon 212 (b)

middle distance event at wattle ridge. i really like running on this map, just not some of the sections today. i had more fond memories of last time :P
started off a bit shakey on the first, and then i just felt exhausted from this mornings efforts until about half way or so. then made a variety of mistakes from about 9-15. not happy at all. i know i can navigate better than this i just seem to have lost it lately. very disappointing.

just a run around ashtonfield. bit pressed for time. this run should be over 75 at least by now. threw in some fartlek in the middle 20min to make up for it. scott westcott is a tough man to get on to :l i think he might be away or something.

MTB 15:00 [3]

ride to the oval close to home, and back after ints.

Running warm up/down 30:00 [2]
shoes: Nike Free 5.0 v4

warm up just jogging around the oval. i took the footy with me and kicked it round. i think id like to play :P

Running intervals 29:57 [5] 4.8 km (6:14 / km)
shoes: Nike Free 5.0 v4

did 10 x about 320m at the oval. its not a running track but has a few goal posts i ran around. pretty happy. think the pace was actually faster than at the running track. do something longer next week. probs those 1kers again. after that just did a few quick sprints to try and get on top of my feeling of lack of pace lately.

Stretch 10:00 [1]
