Orienteering race 21:10 [4] 3.67 km (5:46 / km) +29m 5:33 / km
ahr:164 max:195 shoes: Inov 8 Mudclaw 300

Scottish Relay Championship
Light Green course - 2nd
Team overall - 5th

Better nav today but still a reasonable amount of hesitation. Ok speed but for the terrain and course I should have been almost a min/km quicker. This seems to be something to do with my legs rather than my fitness as my heart rate is surprisingly low for the effort I was exerting. Still a decent run but definitely could have been much closer to Finn in it.

Easy uphill jog to the start with Finn, just getting the legs moving without them getting too tired.

Orienteering race 57:23 [4] 8.73 km (6:35 / km) +43m 6:25 / km
ahr:177 max:187 shoes: Inov 8 Mudclaw 300

Scottish Individual Championship
Craig Leach
M16 - 5th
Time - 57:10

Through out the course I mad minimal errors with no one error losing me more than 30s, probably lost around 2 mins in mistakes. Started off ‘strong’ for the first half then dropped off at the end, due to lack of strength in my legs, just couldn’t keep up the pace in the terrain or push it. Major hesitation aswell that is not normal in my runs, think just because of a tired brain.
Nice area and a good course however even using the excuse of exams and growing it was a poor result.

Getting the legs moving after the drive up to Inverness. Took a run up to the fort and then back down through the housing estate. Legs were feeling better, not as much aches and pains but still not able to move at a decent pace. Lovely views but I feel my watch is broken with the slow paces it’s displaying.

Running (Easy) 34:10 [2] 5.37 km (6:22 / km) +154m 5:34 / km
ahr:137 max:153 shoes: Kalenji kiprun

Just an easy run over the hills to end the exam period. Legs not feeling good, had to take it really slow and even coming down from the radio mast I had pain in my knees and just sore legs. Got it done but that was a slog for an easy run. Just good to get the legs moving for once after spending so much time sat down revising.
