Note

so we did get down to SF for the wedding OK, just an afternoon/evening of extra-hard driving (w/ some snow & fog up on the OR/CA pass) to get to Yreka & back on schedule- even G who is a good little traveller was a bit cranky.
Eritrean banquet Fri night - similar (?) to ethiopian food I've had previously in Vancouver, but very good, still have to say the sour taste of the injera bread does kinda gak me out by the end of the meal. Tej (honey wine very interesting, like mead?
stayed at great lil retro motel out by zoo & fantastic dunes/rolling waves, mist of coast, yummy SF breakfasts/lattes.
Italian dinner after wedding was insane, 5 courses, delicious, by the time we got to the moscato & the trio of tiny desserts I was totally burned out.

walking 22:00 [1] 1.1 km (20:00 / km)

lollypop route over to the creek, thru the woods up & along the bike-path up, & back. Sat in lobby for a bit just to visit fans, met Big Black Jack & rode up the elevator w/ him, definitely highlight.
Latest theory is that the pee-problem comes from stealing 2 weeks' worth of dried potato snax (for trip) either from confusion surrounding location of travel bag, or possibly by climbing onto kitchen counter from the couch in LR. pee pH was high upon visitng clinic not alotta bacteria N so on, & most tellingly after vet visit there was an evening episode called " The Potato is Leaving" involving approx 14 poops & 12 pees (or attempts after the first 4 or 5 more or less productive efforts). Eventually I will have to actively lock all food away if her learning curve continues; she'll learn to open the swingdoor cupboards sooner or later, & the kitchen counter thing is basically a done deal (move couch? might help for a while)...

walking 30:00 [1] 1.5 km (20:00 / km)

over to the park, back up by the daycares. this is too much. dang. tomorrow will be a rest day. Elevating feet. G-dog seems better today.

Note

Gah! G-dog had three pee accidents in the last 12 hours after none for 4 months ! off to the vet with you little dog ! altho I am betting she is coming into heat again which always discombobulates her relationship with her nether regions somewhat.

walking 55:00 [1] 2.8 km (19:39 / km)

felt so dreary today. lotsa little walks to keep the dog from doing more bad things in the house, plus had to go downtown to bank. ow ow ow, my feet hurt so bad even thru the monster tylenol I wish I still had some of those T-3's, gonna be so glad to ride quietly in jeep for a few days to Bogg Mtn or whatever it is.
Tomorrow is another day.
in other news, goat cheese crostini (yum I just snuck one) w/ antipasto goo on top, sundried tomato mushroom broc quiche, & a stirfry to empty fridge. New canola oil for stirfry cuz the earth-choice olive oil canNOT even pretend to be part of asian cooking, unlike blah spectrum brand, yumyum I LOVE Earth's Choice!!!!

Note

feeling better today, raining & windy this morning. I am pretty excited about dinner at Wild Rice tonight. Maybe we are going to Abbotsford RV show later this AM.

walking 35:00 [1] 0.8 km (43:45 / km)

wandered around in the pouring rain at Bonsor for 40 minutes while D shopped for shirts at Metrotown, dog successfully drained, chased several rats and big mice; kinda creepy that the more urban area there has more rodents. Or maybe they are less preyed-on so they are more laid-back & thus more visible.
