Walking on trail 39:11 [3]

Couldn't resist getting out on such a great day. Didn't move as fast as usual though. East Boston Camps Green to White to Yellow to Orange to Orange-Green.

Orienteering 1:37:09 [3] 4.8 km (20:14 / km)

Not the best outing, but it's been a stressful weekend trying to fit in orienteering with all the work I've got going. I was just tired! Ok, and stupid at times.. Was hoping that my efforts at getting exercise over the past few weeks would result in a better showing. Oh, well.

Orienteering 1:10:22 [3] 3.8 km (18:31 / km)

Brown course. Had fun and made it back to work on time.

walking on road 12:49 [3] 1.2 km (10:41 / km)

Walk to the start. Fastest I'll move all day, so thought I should log it..

walk/jog on trail 34:20 [3]

East Boston Camps. Since time was very limited, I was going to stay on Beacon Street, but realized that would have headed me straight into a Cross-Country meet at the school. Stayed on Green and Blue thinking it would keep me out of their way. Turns out I just missed being trampled by a bunch of middle-school boys. Sorry I missed it.. 300 (2), 200

hiking 39:56 [3]

Wachusett State Reservation. Ascending. Echo Lake Road to High Meadow to Jack Frost to Mountain House. Made the smart move to wear o-shoes. Trails were very wet and resembled streams for much of it, thanks to yesterday's deluge.

hiking 43:02 [3]

Descending. Was surprised to see longer time, but I did take a different route which was obviously longer and did include some significant elevation in one spot. Really was careful on the way down as rocks were very slippery and covered with water. Mountain House trail to Bicentennial to High Meadow to Echo Lake Road.

Note

Happened to run into a school field trip on the way up the mountain. I was passing the last ones. Great quote of the day from one of the students, "I thought this would be a day off. Instead it's a long torturous gym class." :-) Found out the school was Groton-Dunstable, my kids old school and I was very pleased to run into Mr. Trainor, Nicole's third grade teacher.
