walking on road 51:52 [3] 4.84 km (10:42 / km) +64m 10:02 / km

Flat Hill Rd, with J-J, early in the 7 degree temps. Bright sunshine made it more pleasant and I was happy to get out early before we spent the day in CT. Pretty walk at the start along a snowmobile trail.

Fire Rd 16 + lots of stuff in Shrley. Cold, windy day but much of the walk was in the forest. Pleased that I was able to follow a track through the backdoor exit to Oakes Landing, saving me having to retrace my steps.

Fire Rds 19 & 24b, +. Beautiful walk in the full moon thru streets along Lake Shirley. Not too cold, but upset that a dog chased me away from completing Oak Ridge Rd. Will have to go back tomorrow.

Fort Pond Rd +. I took the opportunity to enjoy the almost full moon and recent snowfall to complete what is most likely the ugliest walk in town. Lots of traffic and I'm happy that leg is done.

Goodrich, Killburn, Lancaster loop. With the impending snow today, I did an unusual walk early in the morning before work. Lots of traffic, which is why I like the later walks. And most likely the last of the fun loops for Lunenburg. I think the rest of the walks will be out-and-back. Not as interesting.

hiking 1:13:36 [3] 6.86 km (10:44 / km) +54m 10:20 / km

Over in the Fire Roads area of Lake Shirley, which is why I left it as hiking, but really was mostly on 'roads'. Was slower than usual as I forgot to bring the headlamp. Had a wonderful moon for most of the walk, but did turn on my phone light when meeting oncoming traffic on Reservoir and Goodrich. Longer than my usual walks at night, but i was fun. Dressed a little to warm, as always.

Northern end of Lake Shirley where it was more sheltered from the cold wind. Met up with J-J for this portion, since neither of us had nabbed these roads. Of course, he ran down from the house while I just drove down. At least it is sunny.
