Running long 1:46:08 [4] 28.0 km (3:47 / km)
ahr:160 max:173 shoes: Asics Noosa Tri

Ran 17.5mile loop with Andy Letherby and Alan Culpepper from Boulder Reservior. Felt like absolute crap from the start and we were not going slowly. Ran pretty much six minute miles from the go get. The altitude was killing me and I was out of breath running up every hill. Came a lot better after about 40 minutes and then had a savage hill before we got to "the Grange" at ten miles (61 min). Saw the Uni of Colorado team out there training and the dirt roads were pretty packed with runners. The pace slowly began to increase and I had to eventually the let others go with about 25 minutes left. Only finished about 30 secs behind them, but just needed to slow 10 seconds a mile to get my breath back a bit. Was an awesome run, the countryside was great and the dirt roads awesome to run on. I was happy to see the end though, as the altitude felt like it knocked me for six. I do now realise that we were running pretty quickly over some undulating terrain as well! Andy and Alan went on to finish off 2 hours.
