Run 31:54 [3] 5.66 km (5:38 / km) +69m 5:19 / km

Joined Molly for her third 1.5k of the week, seemed to go well with a bit of muscular pain but probably nothing to worry about, and no shin pain!! Sounds like progress is being made which is awesome.
Then ran home, slightly extended loop to get a bit of distance in, fairly quick and felt good, nothing from the knee and kept going quite well up the hill.

Komoot special planned by yours truly in the croatian mountains with a decently sized euoc squad.
Started off with everyone before we split to go off on the long route, lots of long hard climbing and Joe and I were almost struggling to keep up with the others while they were chatting away up front.
Insane views throughout and saw some people heading up to do the via ferrata at the top of one of the mountains which we wisely decided to avoid.
A few short stops but mostly keeping moving, hoping not to tread on any undiscovered land mines along the way.
Second half was all down hill and felt not too bad when pace pushed a bit, knee felt a bit on the way up but was careful on the steep downhills. It's definitely due a few rest days but hopefully not too many needed and I can finish the week off on sunday.
Cooked by the end but a stop for essential nutrients and a swim sorted me out before dropping people off at the airport.

Orienteering 20:00 [3] 3.95 km (5:04 / km) +36m 4:51 / km
ahr:141 max:178

Morning sprint session with the entire euoc holiday squad.
Kept the pace under control and not too much below 4:30s on the straights.
Nav still not perfect but pretty clean, mostly just fun to run round some handicapped sprintervals.
Then headed down to the beach for a swim while trying to avoid many sea urchins on the sea floor. Oops to Mr Hudd.

Run 51:05 [3] 6.93 km (7:22 / km) +237m 6:18 / km

Another holiday double, and another mission to Mars! different route this time along the north side of that part of the island to the via ferrata spot.
Strangely different terrain to the first side, more rolling and a few lots of little thistle plants coming up between the rocks but cool and exciting nonetheless, mostly chatting with Frank and and Aimee at the back of the group.
Some great rocky trails, nothing like I've been on before.
Fingers were pretty blistery after getting across the via ferrata twice. Mostly overhanging over the sea made it rather tricky, though seemingly not for baby bennett who proved himself strongest in euoc.
Through in the towel after that and walked back with emus, gorgeous afternoon.

Run 1:14:29 [3] 7.07 km (10:32 / km) +280m 8:48 / km

Mission to mars with a small squad, jogged about 3k to the via ferrata through properly barren terrain, just a steep rocky slope that went down to the sea. I made it across the via ferrata just after Stan, then we waited for Gooch to get across.
Stan and I decided we didn't want to do the big loop round the end of the peninsula with Gooch so found a way up the scree and between the crags to the ridge which was covered in really lethal, spiky rock which made it slow going.
We eventually made it back to near the via ferrata spot and jogged back along the route we'd come along, though at one point Stan convinced me that the trail went down and I stupidly let him guide me down and down before we realised we had to climb back up again.
Got back to the car and downed my bottle of water before we headed to the beach for a well deserved swim while we waited for the others to get back.

Run 44:50 [2] 7.87 km (5:42 / km) +26m 5:36 / km

Jog pre-swim after we arrived in Novalja after a long, exciting drive though a thunderstorm.
Somehow a lovely day by the coast though and we all went for a jog by the sea.
Some shenanigans figuring out an alternative route to the 12k guys but found everyone in the sea eventually for the first sea swim of the holiday.
Rudely warm and very glad for it.
