Summer series at Black Mountain. Started just ahead of mass start full of boys so got to see a little bit of them as they ran past. Was feeling a bit tired running today and a bit can't-be-bothered-ish.
Cycling (Road) 1:00:00 [2]
rode to work and home via black mountain.

Tuesday Nov 27

Running race 19:53 [4] 5 km (3:59 / km) vdot: 50.1
Cross Country at North Curtin oval. Felt like I paced it well this week and very happy to crack 20. Grace and I ran next to each other all the way back which helped keep a good pace, although I couldn't keep up at the end.

Sunday Nov 25

Running 1:25:00 [3]
Today was a return to the good old sunday long run from the gate at hackett. Ran with Jase, Al, Shannon and Grant up Majura and on lots of single tracks in Majura pines. Back over Hackett Hill to finish up. Followed by pancakes at sfoglia. Never thought I'd say there was a bit too much maple syrup, but yummy nonetheless.

Saturday Nov 24

Running 1:07:00 [3]
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline
Ran from home on bruce ridge around single tracks. Did a couple of intervals but then decided that was a bit too keen and just ended up running.

Friday Nov 23

Strength and Conditioning 45:00 [1]

Thursday Nov 22

Running 55:00 [3]
Got up and ran on bruce ridge before work for the first time in a while. Was very nice once up.
Cycling (Road) 1:00:00 [2]
Rode to work and got completely soaked on the way home. Was going to go to the gym on the way home but used the rain and wet shoes, clothes and everything as an excuse not to.

Wednesday Nov 21

Orienteering 32:19 [4]
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline
Ran summer series at Bluetts. Started just ahead of Rob and Kez in a semi cockies mass start so tried to hold onto them for a few controls, then got a bit tired once I was on my own. Still, felt like I was running ok and was fun to run on a not so familiar map.
Running 15:00 [2]

Warm up and down

Tuesday Nov 20

Running race 20:31 [4] 5 km (4:06 / km) vdot: 48.3
Cross country at National Library. Felt heaps better than last week and paced myself better but slower time. (I like to think it was a long course :). It was very helpful running with jase on the way back to help keep up the pace. It sure was a hot one.
Running 15:00 [2]

Sunday Nov 18

Running 1:35:00 [3]
Ran on the beach at Shoalhaven Heads with other cockies and co then around a bit further on a less sandy surface. Very nice to run along the beach but unbelievable how slow time goes. It was pretty hot so nice to finish up with a quick dip in the ocean. Made a stop at Woodfired sourdough cafe at Berry. super.

Saturday Nov 17

Cycling (Road) 2:21:00 [3]
Did a loop from where we were staying near Kangaoo Valley over Cambawarrea Pass to Noosa, along highway to Berry and back up to kangaroo valley. It was a cool ride. It had a couple of big climbs in it which were pretty tough in the heat. One hairpin was so steep I came to a complete standstill and had to walk my bike for a bit till i could get back on.
Running 28:00 [3]
Went for a run with Mace and Seb out near a dam (forgotton the name). It poured rain and there was an incident with some scarily close lightening but it was fun once soaked and still got to see some cool views.

Ran on bruce ridge putting out and bringing in controls for summer series.

Tuesday Nov 13

Running race 20:19 [4] 5 km (4:04 / km) vdot: 48.9
Ran xc at weston park. It was the version of the course that goes along the bike path to governor general's house. Felt great at the start but by the turnaround was suffering. Maybe should have thought about not eating all afternoon beforehand cos my stomach was killing so struggled on the way back. Legs were fine though. Still, happy with the time considering.
Running 10:00 [2]
warm up and down

Monday Nov 12

Cycling (Road) 1:00:00 [2]

Saturday Nov 10

Running race 2:16:58 [4] 26 km (5:16 / km) vdot: 40.5
Ran "2 Peaks" moutain run (Ainslie and Majura). Felt pretty good but probably didn't run the first half hard enough. Find it a bit hard to pace myself right over 26km. Felt good on the uphills but lose so much time running down.

Thursday Nov 8

Running 1:05:00 [3]
Ran on bruce ridge, still trying to fix up some of the mountain bike tracks on the map for summer series next week. There are so many it seemed a bit futile really.

Wednesday Nov 7

Orienteering 35:00 [4] 5.5 km (6:22 / km)
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline
Did summer series on Mt Taylor. Kind of fun since haven't run there much before. Felt surprisingly good and not sore after yesterday.

Tuesday Nov 6

Running race 1:25:46 [4] 10.46 km (8:12 / km) +1040m 5:29 / km
Did the Mt Buffalo run. Did the first half a bit conservatively since didn't really know where I was going but felt quite alright in the second half and tried to pick up the pace a bit. It was a beautiful day, fantastic views and lots of friendly people along the way.

Running 30:00 [2]
Jogged parts of the way back down Buffalo.

Monday Nov 5

Cycling (Road) 3:10:00 [3]
Road up Mt Buffalo from Bright. Had never been up there before and didn't know what I was in for. It was a long long steady climb and thought I was never going to get there. Finally got there in a bit over 2 hours. Awesome mountain though and great views.

Sunday Nov 4

Running race 1:23:38 [4]
Mt Feathertop mountain run. Can't say it was stacks of fun. The weather was miserable and bad enough that the race didn't go all the way to the top but stopped at the hut at the edge of the tree line. A bit disappointing to not get all the way but probably a bit lucky for me since I was already stuffed and hips in agony.
Running 1:06:00 [3]
Ran down the mountain afterwards with dave.

Saturday Nov 3

Event: Four Peaks

Running 1:23:00 [3]
Ran along river and round Bright with dave and met up with Robbie and Kathryn for the middle part. Feeling a bit guilty for wishing it would stop raining.
